Ok, so the wife and I just got back from celebrating our 20th in the Bahamas. Man, what a great place with great people. This post is gonna be pic HEAVY....BLUF we rented a house on the Atlantic side, a honda crv and it was great. Price tag wasn't very high either. I will write more later on this thread....now some pics!!

Well, here is the gist of the trip. It was our 20th last Wednesday and we hadn’t had an adults-only vacation in 15 so I made it my mission to find a great, quiet beach location for us to go get some peace and enjoy each other. One of the guys I work with honeymooned on Eleuthera and pointed me in the direction of houses for rent by owners. Pretty quickly mama found the one she wanted and it was actually available. So we secured it (I cute new 1 bedroom cottage directly on the beach) and got our tickets. We had to go DIA-IAH-FLL to Governor’s Harbour and it ended up being 2 days each way. Once we got to the house we knew we had made the right decision. After a quick orientation from the owners we were on the deck enjoying the breeze and an empty beach. We spent the entire week eating, drinking, snorkeling and lazy-ing around the island. High points were Lighthouse Beach at the end of a 4x4 track, the Ocean Hole in Rock Sound (600 ft deep salt pool loaded with fish we dove in), fishing the Caribbean side, Coco di Mama beach and the famous Friday Night Fish Fry downtown where they close the street next to the bay and really party! The only thing bad about the whole trip was coming back to snow on Mother’s Day. It was a wonderful week. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

You better believe it was relaxing...just great.

As for the Corona, beer was +- $45 a case while Rum was only $11 a liter for Bacardi. I abused the blender ALL WEEK

Ouch!! It was the only shade I could get my hands on and I figured that I better wear it at SOME point (have never worn army headgear downrange :hump: ) Trip was awesome and actually relaxing. So nice to get away from crowds. If you want details just let me know.....worth the trip.

Looks like you two had an awesome time. I took my wife and daughter to the Bahamas for Christmas last year. Our favorite stop was at Freeport. We found a little hole in the wall bar on the beach that had cold beer and fresh conch. We have talked about going back ever since we have returned. Please PM me the contact info to the cottages.
