I believe most people do support law enforcement as long as the LEO's don't trash our constitutional rights, like the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and probably a few more that have been trounced in the past few weeks.

The thing that used to be great about the U.S. is our freedoms and constitutionally protected rights. Seems that doesn't apply anymore.

A man who was lawfully carrying a firearm, never brandishing or unholstering it, was protesting and exercising his First Amendment rights. While intervening to protect a woman from being maced in the face, he was beaten and maced by five agents, forcibly disarmed, and then shot in the back. After he fell motionless to the ground, he was shot an additional four to five times.

So following the logic in here for folks to stay home, shut up, don’t make trouble for yourself, comply, don’t carry a firearm, etc etc see how that’s gonna lead to rights becoming meaningless and eroding?

I saw the video. Why was he dragging the woman being “maced” into his apparent fight? It struck me as odd. I am not defending the federal agents. HE put himself in that position, the woman he was “defending” was clearly interfering with an LEO operation. That’s the thing I don’t understand with people’s optics of any of this.

I support neither side. But common sense and perspective has to override the pretense of what is taking place. MN is currently 2% of total US deportations, TX is over 20%. Where are “American patriots” protecting their neighbors interfering, agitating and protesting in these non sanctuary cities? Let’s be real. The “protesters” being arrested in each of these cities across the US aren’t residents of those cities. They are paid. How are a 1000+ people showing up with matching $200+ gas masks immediately to incident events consistently? Shame how saturated we’ve become with knee jerk reactions due to over saturation of falsities perpetrated by the media and social media. Shame on human condition to react how we do, be so ignorant and inconsiderate to actual humans. Hell, humans care more about wolves “supposedly” killing elk. Pathetic.

Do I agree with people being profiled? Absolutely not, just as I don’t agree with people calling conservatives fascists nazis. It’s all propaganda and the minority has bought into it. Let’s be real, the “majority” get up, go to work, care for their family and are NOT going to go to a protest armed, blowing whistles, honking horns, blocking roadways of a law enforcement operation and feel they may putting their life or freedom on the line. It’s absurd and nonsense. Common sense tells a sane person I am not going to put myself in that situation.

If local officials worked with federal investigations, ie; last known addresses, criminal records, associates, etc, etc.. then provided crowd control or a perimeter where federal officers could perform operations without constant aggression which they are harassed, doxed, berated, assaulted while trying to detain illegal people in this country we wouldn’t have any of this happening. Put yourself in their situation, if you were trying to find the loopholes of the IRS for your client, meanwhile 100s of people were blowing, whistles, pulling your chair, turning off your CPU, recording you, calling you a racist, nazi, etc. This mental health crisis is real in the US.

I am Independent, I know both sides are lying. I know all the wasteful spending and corruption will continue by both sides. But I sure as F am not going put myself or family interfering with a law enforcement situation whether it be a stranger or my own. Comply and fight in court.

Purposely interfere with any law enforcement “just because”… you IMO deserve the outcome.

I spent 2 hours out in winter weather today with 100ish of my neighbors, protesting against ICE and in favor of lawful law enforcement and Constitutional government. I live in a crimson county in this blue state, where ICE held roadblock raids in Vail this week. They left Ace of Spades "death cards" as souvenirs. None of our 100 were from out of county, let alone out of state. Your Faux News propaganda that protesters are paid disruptors is laughable, feel free to post proof. There is more than enough homegrown opposition to ICE and all things Trump in ever community in America. Texas is a red state, that is the reason ICE is not there instigating violence and assassinating law-abiding American protesters. ICE emphasis is deliberately targeted to blue states, revenge and provocation politics by the executive branch that flaunts it's disregard for law, courts and the Constitution. Innocent legal American citizens are killed, that is part of 47's playbook. Rationalize away these attacks on the Constitution and our nation, at the peril of democracy.

Consider that frequently and regularly conducted protests are occuring across the country and certainly in Montana in opposition to the strong armed tactics of this present administration. The citizens protesting are NOT paid to do so. That is another alternative reality sold on the social media to the naive minions such as RJ and Roscoe.

The Minnesota Anti Gestapo Activists are showing up in droves in frigid weather in opposition to what is clearly characterized as 1930's NAZI style tactics against a population obviously hated by an authoritarian person of increasingly unlimited power weilded to punish a geo political region in disfavor.

ICE is abducting people with paperwork showing they are following proper procedures to become citizens!

YOUR WIFE WOULD BE IN GRAVE DANGER if she were in MN right now and had not completed her citizenship process...even if she was on the path and did everything right!

And in fact, if she appears to be from a race anything other than white, she would be accosted and asked to show her papers. Lack of them...if she is lucky, might get her a few days in federal detention.

I couldn’t see from any video that the subject was disarmed prior to being shot. If I see further evidence it will support that I don’t support him being shot. But it doesn’t preclude showing up to interfere with LEO operations WITH a weapon. Come on now.

The jumping to conclusions, not being the person (s) in the moment doesn’t make you the judge and jury. Funny how many attack.

The state of affairs in and around the minneapolis area is far from supportive of law enforcement. Ever since the George Floyd ordeal its been a disaster here. We have a governor who has a track record of failing. The mayor of minneapolis is a complete bozo. None of our politicians will work with or provide assistance to federal agents.

As a Minnesotan you must have head in sand, as even over here in Montana we can see big changes in LE in your state since the Floyd debacle.
You have the facts upside down, as the protocol is typically for Feds to reach out to inform the state and to receive usually easily obtained assistance and support from the state. State officials time after time have expressed frustration at having no communication or collaboration from or with ICE.
Realtime facts and truth are likely more readily available to you right there in your home state. It's perplexing that you have it so incorrectly stuck in your head.
