How do you pay your bills if you are volunteering 24/7 for a cause?

Spend many decades working sometimes two jobs, serve over three decades wearing the US Army uniform, invest and save ... all of which provide an income and health care to allow us to volunteer for a variety of national, state, and local causes. But it requires rest daily, so not "24/7"!

I do wish that you had such blessings so that you would have more time to listen, learn, and spew only truth based and logical opinions on HT.

In your expert opinion how many are volunteering 24/7? Lots of people work flexible schedules, hell, some may be using vacation for something they feel is that important to them.

I do quite a bit of volunteer work myself for wildlife, public lands, etc. and flex my schedule to accomplish that volunteer work and even have used annual leave.

I'm sure in your mind I'm a paid or trustfunder volunteer.

I'll not hold my breath waiting for that check to come in.

They had been following ice and harrasing them all day. They were parked in the middle of the road to stop the agents from going to their next stop. ICE wouldn't have to have triple the man power, if the local officials would cooperate with them. Stop the paid agitators from making their job impossible to do.

As I came out of the Gallatin County Courthouse one day, I walked with a neighbor who is pretty stuck right wing. As we saw several silver-haired women on the curb with signs of protest which they display each Tuesday morning, the neighbor remarked that "they should get jobs and contribute". I explained that they are retired, likely have contributed their entire lives, and possess the Constitutional right to be there expressing themselves. Suprisingly but pleasantly, my neighbor agreed.

Lots of retired folks. Clergy. Teachers during off days. Taking vacation. Closing their business so they and their employees can take part...just a few actual examples from news interviews of people.

How can you hunt if you have a full-time job? Buddy, I know it's hard to imagine, but some of us are good at managing our time.

I have a full-time job @ 40 hours a week, I volunteer as a firefighter and EMS (hundreds of call and training hours a year), am in the Army reserve (one evening a week and one training Ex a month minimum), have a young family and STILL find time to love my wife and go hunting for days on end... Still waiting on that generational-trust-fund-wealth to drop in my bank account!!!

Well yes and no.

There have been rumors--but no actual evidence that I know of--that they are here, and like they did during the George Floyd riots, starting trouble to try and make things worse and falsely implicate others in the name of justifying their cause.

And the fellow on the right in the vest below was here for a demonstration last weekend where he advertised he was going to publicly burn the Koran.

He was driven off the streets, not exactly treated well. Got ugly.

Some might find it interesting to know that anti ICE protestors actually took him into their car, with people beating on it, and drove him away to safety. Interviews said they made it clear how despicable he was but he needed help as a fellow human being. I heard he even talked about that help later.

His name? Jake Lang.

One of the ring leaders of the Jan. 6th insurrection.

Charged and convicted.

The first story I heard was they were having car problems. That proved to be false. Just trying to figure out what was going on here. Were they getting paid to disrupt ICE? Sure we will learn the answer to that someday.
