Many know that Arizona changed their auction tags to raffle tags, starting this cycle. The first ever raffle is being promoted by the Wild Sheep Foundation and the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society.

Tickets are on sale through June 30. Link here - https://wildsheep.fanthem.io/give/sheep/online-raffles/bhs

Will be interesting to see how well this turns out, financially. I think most will agree the optics are far better. Yet, if we want the same level of funding for sheep, which in AZ is mostly water development, we need to support this raffle to the greatest degree we can.

Arizona law provides no commission to any non-profit group that helps with the tag sale. Thus, 100% of these raffle proceeds goes toward the earmarked sheep funds at AZ Game & Fish. The groups helping promote this are doing so for the benefit of sheep funding. Thanks to both of those groups.

Correct, NRs are eligible. And unlike the "Super Big Game Raffle," you don't have to be standing in AZ at the time of your purchase.

I’ve wondered about that one on several occasions. The “Super Big Game Raffle” is promoted across several social media platforms with a link to purchase tickets. One has to really pay attention to notice the small print clause that you have to be in AZ at the time of purchase. Either they don’t care enough to enforce it, or the winners have been lucky enough to prove they were in the state. Can’t imagine pulling the statewide deer tag only to learn my purchase wasn’t valid.

This raffle looks great! Hopefully it pulls in significantly more than the auction did.

Doesn't seem to provide out of states hunters entry. Bummer

It allowed me to purchase a chance.

He is way out of states like in another country that may be why

I have brought some raffle tickets from the rmbighorn sheep foundation previously, but one can't bypass the set-up the state has.
You bought from Rocky Mountain bighorn Society and we thank you! We are happy to accommodate nonresidents, aliens, and anybody who wants to win a chance to hunt sheep, mt. goat or pronghorn across Colorado for months on end and support sheep and Mt goat conservation efforts.
