Shot mine today with TSS. Like you turned out the light in him. Pretty sure he never even heard the shot. Didn’t even flop. I love it. Nothing says you have to shoot them far. Let them in close if you want. Only downside is $.

But what gun was easier to carry around and maneuver on the birdI killed my first turkey with my new .410 and 9 tss. I shot my second one with my trusty 12 gauge. I’m happy to report they are both dead! They are really delicious breaded and fried next to some morels. I can’t even tell the difference!
Well.. if you want me to be honest, the red dot on the .410 was low. It knocked him down but, he went into a multiflower rose bush, I had to shoot him again as he was beelining to it. My fault for not taking more time sighting it in.But what gun was easier to carry around and maneuver on the birdjust messing with you congratulations! Nothing better than turkey and morels!

The 12 gauge didn’t have a sling on it and I was too lazy to get one out of the safe, I was about a mile from my house so it sucked carrying the turkey and gun back.
I bought the 5 tss for $38.99 at Wally World this spring and I bought the 5 12 gauge shells at the same Wally World for $7.99 a few years ago. There was 4 in the box when I left and 3 when I returned so I assume that box has killed two turkeys for $3.20 and the .410 has killed 1 turkey for $15.60.
The .410 has no wallop and the 12 gauge is noticeable when you shoot.
I have no experience with this myself but I have heard from reliable sources that if you bite into a tss bb you will definitely tell the difference !I killed my first turkey with my new .410 and 9 tss. I bet. Can I add the dentist bill to the price per turkey?I have no experience with this myself but I have heard from reliable sources that if you bite into a tss bb you will definitely tell the difference !
Killed my last 8 birds with TSS.I dont hunt turkeys much but a good friend of mine loaded me 50 12 gauge tss 8.5's...1 5/8 ounces shot. Cost was $160 for those 50. I still haven't shot one.
Last fall I gave 10 to another good friend of mine. He sent me a picture of a bird he killed in WI this morning...48 yards and a nice mature gobbler. He said it folded up and didn't flop around at all.
I need to give them a try sometime.
65 is getting out there. My friend that loaded those for me showed 50-80 yard patterns he shot and it was impressive.Killed my last 8 birds with TSS.
From 5 yds to 65 yds. Its very efficient.
My 8 year old grandson handles the little recoil from the .410 without noticing. Haven't tried a 28 but I know my 20 kicks a bit...the 12 can be brutal with heavy loads.Well.. if you want me to be honest, the red dot on the .410 was low. Please expand on this? If it is going away I'd like to get a few more boxes to carry me through my turkey hunting days.Hope TSS survives but doesnt look good.
