Are Hookers Wrong ?>

Hey Elkchsr, if it were leagal, dont' you think those items you described might go away ? Wouldn't infact, making it legal clean it up

History shows that even when legal (pick your century and time frame) crime and petulance popped up around any bordello's and brothels

There is always the exception to the rule, but generally speaking those to ugly or strung out to make $4500 a night or even $100 dollars a pop give the rest a very bad rep... :)

LMAO James and John...

Thats harsh... :D:D:D

Like other professions, I would steer my daughter away from it but would ultimately let them make up their mind.

Sooo after all this time we find out that Oscar has a daughter or daughters...depending upon his Moosie-like grammar

Happy meal and a matinee ... LMAO JB :D ...wonder if SHE wished she could have super-sized it ;)

Prudish society...maybe not

Since most of us would agree that our news media has evolved into 'entertainment', is not life imitating art?

1 in 4 teen girls have STD

CHICAGO (AP) — At least one in four teenage girls nationwide has a sexually transmitted disease, or more than 3 million teens, according to the first study of its kind in this age group.
A virus that causes cervical cancer is by far the most common sexually transmitted infection in teen girls ages 14 to 19, while the highest overall prevalence is among black girls — nearly half the blacks studied had at least one STD. That rate compared with 20% among both whites and Mexican-American teens, the study from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found.

About half of the girls acknowledged ever having sex; among them, the rate was 40%. While some teens define sex as only intercourse, other types of intimate behavior including oral sex can spread some infections.

For many, the numbers likely seem "overwhelming because you're talking about nearly half of the sexually experienced teens at any one time having evidence of an STD," said Dr. Margaret Blythe, an adolescent medicine specialist at Indiana University School of Medicine and head of the American Academy of Pediatrics' committee on adolescence.

But the study highlights what many doctors who treat teens see every day, Blythe said.

NHY, I saw that the other night on our local news.
unbelievable!

Regan seen it coming:
“Our Pledge of Allegiance states that we are ‘one nation under God,’ and our currency bears the motto, ‘In God We Trust.’ The morality and values such faith implies are deeply embedded in our national character. Our country embraces those principles by design, and we abandon them at our peril. Yet in recent years . . . Americans . . . [have] for the sake of religious tolerance . . . forbidden religious practice in the classrooms. The law of this land has effectively removed prayer from our classrooms. How can we hope to retain our freedom through the generations if we fail to teach our young that our liberty springs from an abiding faith in our Creator?” 7

JB,

You think we need kids praying in school? That will stop hookers?
no, kinda went off topic. I was refering to the teens and the epidemic of pecker-warts and the clap.

sorry..... carry on, Jose wants to talk more about hookers.

JB- I'm sure prayer stops std's also...Couldn't have anything to do with family structure/ divorce rate/ two parents working. It's all based on going to church...Maybe people not going to church is a product of the family stucture/ divorce rate/ two parents working just as the increased std rate is.

For the ones hiding behind the "I'm married" card...
What if your wife handed you some birthday cash and told you to have a good time?
hmmm... a new scope? or freaky porn action with somene way too hot and young for you?

Matt I know more people that go to church that have been divorced and f around, lie cuss, steal etc etc than I do of people who don't go to church.
and of those people who goto church and divorced they have been married and divorced a few times. go figure.

must have something to do with the priest, ministers rabis, etc.

I thought Matt was talking specifically about priests, ministers, rabbis, and especially televangelists.:D

$4,300 - I'd put it away as a good start to a sheep hunt.

I think the majority of guys who use hookers can't pick-up women. The onlyway they're going to get a hot chick is by flashing some benjamins.

No. DD's adventure was legal and didn't sound too healthy IMO.[/QUOTE]

LOL!! Yep, racing around Nevada in a built up 240Z all lit up and otherwise intoxicated, AND visiting cat houses isn't what I would suggest to anyone as being a relaxing roadtrip. I'm just glad no one got hurt. I really was at a dead end.
Maybe my experiece is an extreme example as I was literally attempting to to kill off my past life in the space of 3 days. It must have worked because I didn't go crawling back to the ex-witch. So in that aspect I really thank that gal who "turned me out." Wasn't a bad ride at all.
Being a call girl seems to me to be more honest than most of the drama queens I've gotten involved with from my checkered past. But the pressure being put on our youth today to be 'all sexed up' is even worse than when I was a kid -if that was possable. Too many options. Too much confusion.
Instead of being a sacrosanct, special activity, the act of either sex or procreation has been turned into a cheap trinket for the lazy and the bored seeking thrills.

Its like smoking weed .... illegal in most places.....but if the question is... Should prostitution be legalized? then I say yes "IF" regulated properly.

CJ,

Why do you think we need the government to regulate everything? The rest of us are smart enough not to need the government regulating our lives, too bad you always look to the goverment for your answers.

I've always thought that you're not really paying for sex, you're paying her to NEVER call you again. I think that's the problem with the governer's situation..she broke the rules.

Ok, I have a couple of questions here on this topic. First what was sex designed for, what was its purpose? In a purely humanist, evolutionary view it suits nothing more than reproduction. Ok, that being said then, there will be a by product of this new legalized revenue for our government. That would be a bunch of kids without fathers(not saying this isn't allready an issue). Social mindset cannot be changed overnight, and how would these kids even be able to explain their existence, "what does your mommy do?" typical playground questions. Thats a lot of emotional damage, and I would think all of you that are parents wouldn't want your kids to have to answer those questions.

Next problem is that when these new found mothers get pregnant, and they would, who would provide for them during their nine months off? So essentially the new revenue created from the taxes for their services would really be a savings account for their pregnancies held by the govt. Great plan there.

The only way to prevent these pregnancies would be to have the women be forced to get their tubes tied in order to legally prostitute themselves. Yet the whole argument for their profession is that we can't tell people what to do with their bodies?

I guess my thinking is this, if we can't regulate it well when it is illegal, how in the world are we going to be able to answer moral questions, then regulate it when it becomes legal? Reality is that once it becomes legal it will create more problems than it solved simply because we are too lazy to call something wrong.

True, but I bet a few of you that have kids, have had accidents. Condoms aren't perfect by any stretch of the word either.
