Before I buy this Strike Eagle 3x18x44 thought I'd ask if any of y'all have experience with it. How do you like it?

I plan on using it as a scope for a hunting rifle. I stick with vortex generally though because I get a discount through a dealer. What is your intended use for the scope? If it is for a hunting rifle that would be a hard pass for me. Vortex dont handle impacts very well.
Dedicated range gun is a different story.
In that price range a Trijicon Credo HX or some type of Arken would be my choice.
Second this choice....just saw the hunting purpose.Take a look at the Viper HD in 3x15 as well.
About 5-6 ounces lighter in the same price range.
I wouldn't settle for an optic I plan to kill animals with because I get a discount. Especially when they have a reputation for not holding zero. The one and only job of a rifle scope has, is to hold its zero where you set it. If it has a reputation of not doing that that, why put it on a rifle with the intention on shooting animals?I plan on using it as a scope for a hunting rifle. I stick with vortex generally though because I get a discount through a dealer.
