So fat shaming should be part of any program? She was not. Virtually zero fat-shaming, doomed from the start.

Fox freaked the FO with Michelle’s Let’s Move. I am sure they are equal opportunity scrutiny in 2026.They aren't exactly apples and oranges, they're pretty friggin close. Focused on eating more whole foods, improving school nutrition, better clarity on labelling.

You had me at whole milk!I strongly, strongly support a shift back towards higher protein diets, full fat dairy, and lots of fruits and vegetables and get added sugar the hell out of our food supply. Michelle argued for more grains and veggies and kinda implied less meat.
Lost me at “kinda implied”.You had me at whole milk!
Acknowledging obesity and fat shaming are completely different things!A Make America Healthy Again program? Acknowledging obesity is bad would be far better than pretending it is healthy and beautiful.
Seems to work pretty well for EuropeIf we need regulations so people eat healthier, the battle is already lost. mtmuley
Great. This is the USA. Ain't gonna work great. mtmuleySeems to work pretty well for Europe
It ain’t working great right nowGreat. This is the USA. Ain't gonna work great. mtmuley
It’s not so people eat better, it’s to stop rewarding companies for making food literally addictive and bad for us in spite of the obvious negative social impact. If we need regulations so people eat healthier, the battle is already lost. mtmuley
While they do regulate ingredients that can be downright dangerous, they don’t regulate what you can purchase at the grocery store, per se. They do make it easier for a consumer to make informed decisions with scores prominently placed in the corner of packaged foods without having to interpret whether ingredients no human can pronounce will plug up their colon.Seems to work pretty well for Europe

The companies seem to be doing ok.It’s not so people eat better, it’s to stop rewarding companies for making food literally addictive and bad for us in spite of the obvious negative social impact.
Pretty easy. Don't eat it. mtmuleyIt’s not so people eat better, it’s to stop rewarding companies for making food literally addictive and bad for us in spite of the obvious negative social impact.
That's one take I guess. Fauci did not push people to take ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, bleach etc. With hindsight, the covid response could have been better. We weren't getting thru unscathed, no matter the decisions made. I feel bad for all of the school age kids, who endured a huge disruption in their education. This is one area in which he is being vindicated though imo. The damage that Fauci did to “science” and people’s trust will last decades, unfortunately.
Same reason gas for my truck is up to $5.29 a gallon I expect?A new tangent, the stalemate we have with Iran has caused the stock in the company I retired from to rise pretty dramatically. It's been moving a good bit this week. I think that is due to the realization that the mess will go on for a good while.
