OK - I think my period of mourning is over so I can hop back in this one...although it's still hard for me to watch the DAL series, particularly when Hellebuyck is giving up beer league softies…

After that one, I just asked my son if we have to be Leafs fans now given who is left and who looks to be leaving. The disappointment was palpable, the eye roll was rough, but the slow head nod…

I get to this point in the playoffs (because Minnesota is never still playing at this point) and find myself cheering against teams instead of for teams.

That's fair. There was a stretch about 15 years ago where the Stars weren't even making the playoffs. I took a break from hockey for those years, and told people I was too busy with work.

I’m still dumb enough to follow. Even after the twins lost infinity playoff games in a row. Now the Wild are doing their fun streak. The Vikings are the Vikings. I think sports in general are stupid after I typed it all out.
