Here's my buck from this weekend. Anyone ever shot one with a similar skull deformity between the horns?

I'm thinking about trying to make a little extra money this fall. I don't want to fill up the garage with rotting skulls, but if there are any HTers in the Bozeman area that want a deer or antelope boiled send me a PM. I'm thinking about charging $60/head. I use (more or less) Buzz's methodology (http://onyourownadventures.com/hunttalk/showthread.php?t=244793) if it matters.

Actually, I'd already been there. I think I nailed a doe on that street last summer. Not sure though because it was dark on the way in and out. Felt bad.. She had fawns.

You have done a really nice job there.

I have tried several ways to do skull preparation.
This year i boiled it out with a dishwasher tablet, power washed the skull, then let the flies get to it, put it in a dark place for a week, maggots had done a great job, carefully applied hydrogen peroxide soaked cotton and left in the sun to finish off.
If you take the stain off the antlers you can apply potassium permanganate
Cheers
Richard

The nasal cavity looks pretty intact, Nice work. What's your typical boiling time?

I thought the same thing when I looked at it. Usually the guys that boil them just destroy those fragile nasal cavity bones. That looks like the ones I do with my beetles.
