An Old Question, asked Again

Hey All,

I absolutely know, this question has been asked so many times it's probably ridiculous. But, I'm gonna ask it anyway. And, I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but, I do like to get the feedback of the group.

Which is your preference for Elk? Use the poll above. It's open for five days.

• .308 Win
• .300 Win Mag

Which bullet would you prefer, whether factory or reload? If reload, what recipe do you use?

If I had to choose between only those 2 calibers it would be the .308 only because I am not a long range shooter and I know the .308 is fully capable of taking down any elk within reasonable range with a good bullet and proper shot placement.
The .300 mag is know to be a killer at both ends and I'm not into self torture.

Usually not. I will sure do a lot more practice if I'm not getting beat up on, though.
