Airport drinking

Call back post.

Sitting in ATL waiting for my flight to DFW, then SEA, then home. I guaranteed you the corporate comptrollers don’t have to fly three hops.

But I digress.

Checking out a rye from Vermont’s Whistling Pig.

Bumped the glass and $20 of whiskey spilt. If you lick the table in an airport bar, are you an alcoholic?

Just started work as a contractor for my former employer. Multiple hops and cheapest seat required in order to get any reimbursement.

Failing retirement after only a week.

Spokane isn’t bad for connections. I fly out of Moscow/Pullman. Have to hop to SeaTac no matter where you are going.

I fly Southwest for most of my travel. Spokane and Boise are direct 2x a day. PHX a few more options.

When I have to go back east or overseas I’ll go across the bay and take a shuttle to that airport. I’m thankful my company gives me a card that gets me into the Centurion lounges. Makes arriving early more tolerable.

On my direct flights under three hours, I’m usually driving a rental car once I arrive. So I try to not drink prior to or during the flight. Been thinking about this more as in the next three weeks I will have to travel with a knee scooter and won’t be driving.

Immediately after my surgery, I was on some heavy duty painkillers and did not want to mix alcohol with them. Now off of those, I really notice how alcohol messes with my sleep.

I'll be flying through DIA a couple times in the next week or so. I know we have a 3 hour layover on the way. Anywhere I need to hit up in the airport? I think we get into Denver around 10 and leave at 1.

Another AlaskaAir FUBAR flight.

Stressful connection in Seattle for New Jersey. I made it but my bag did not.

App says they put it on the next flight.

Now I’m waiting in a Newark Airport lounge for my bags. Blowing per diem on airport food.

At least they have High West Double Rye.

I feel your pain...had a 5 hour layover in Denver this past Friday.

Not a bad burger not worth $73 with a shot of rye

Listening to the gals at the next table. They lost $4000 on a missed international connection. Damn!
