Ain’t no school like the old school

Wish I hadn't sold my m77 .243
Fun little gun.
My wife drew a good pronghorn tag here at home. I told her she had the pick of my rifles or I could hurry and get her Ruger M77 tanger in 6mm ready for her. Her dad got that rifle for her so she could hunt with him for a few years. First season using it since he passed. She made the right decision and now I have a modern scope to mount and a load to work up. She’s got a cooler rifle than I do at this point.

I shot quite a few deer and antelope with mine. Botched a shot on an antelope with a stiff cross wind and decided I needed something larger so picked up my Sendero in 25.06.
The action on that .243 was silky smooth. Dumb move to trade it off, along with an SKS, for a top notch fly rod...which I later sold.

Does it get old carrying the sendero for that type of hunt? I have a similar 22-250 heavy barreled remington. It never balances quite right now matter how you carry it it seems.
