I haven't had the chance to get out and do any whitetail hunting since archery season started this month. Last night my wife took my two daughters to their baton classes and left me and the 2 year old boy to ourselves. I asked him if he wanted to go hunting with daddy and he jumped up, ran to his room and grabbed his camo pants, boots and hat. I grabbed a couple of folding stools and our bows and we headed up behind the sub division. There are lots of deer in the surrounding area but I have never really tried hunting back there. We walked in about 500 yards and I showed him several deer tracks on our way to a little spot to sit and watch. Several times he reminded (loudly) that you have to be quiet while hunting and at church.
We thought for sure we could hear a deer walking our way:
Nothing........wonder where he went:
Andrew had this same look on his face when he told his mommy later that "we didn't see no deer"
I don't know about him but that was the best 30 minutes of hunting I've ever done.
