A few Scaled Quail

Went out with the pooch for a afternoon quail hunt and bagged a few. Unfortunately my dog hurt her front paw and wont be making it out tomorrow

Scale quail are smaller than Huns but bigger than dove. About the same size as a California Valley Quail.

I Love to shoot and eat Quail. Gonna have to get me a hunting dog/partner when I get out of the Army. Good job. Glad Katy's better. If she were a human we would poke fun at her for getting hurt exiting the truck……but dogs get a pass.
