7mm PRC do all bullet?

I used a 160 Barnes LRX out of a 22" barrel going 2997fps on all of my animals this last year. Everything from pronghorn to bull elk, it was a little much for the antelope, but I would recommend it for everything else. All shots from 130 - 470.

Given a "reasonable caliber", if it shoots well out of your rifle, and it expands/has enough energy at the distance you're shooting, you're typically good to go...

I hit a shoulder blade and there was no more shoulder on the backside and the frontside shoulder was mostly jello .. little forward on the shot, ill be taking a smaller caliber our next year for them if I draw.

Interesting. I would have thought that a heavy for caliber mono would have caused less damage than a faster, smaller caliber bullet, even on a shoulder shot. My experience with the monos has been that they don’t impart as much shock disruption as I like. The LRXs are supposed to open more easily and rapidly and probably provide more of that tissue disruption.
