7mm PRC do all bullet?

I have never used the 160 gr Barnes LRX but it sure looks good on paper. I would give it a try in my 280 AI if I hadn’t already bought a lifetime supply of 160 gr Accubonds for it.

If the goal is killing elk instead of ballistic mental masturbation, the 7mm 160 accubond is a killer… So are the .277 140s, .308 165s and 180s, and a bunch of others.
So many work for that it's hardly worth counting.

I used a 160 Barnes LRX out of a 22" barrel going 2997fps on all of my animals this last year. Everything from pronghorn to bull elk, it was a little much for the antelope, but I would recommend it for everything else. All shots from 130 - 470.

Given a "reasonable caliber", if it shoots well out of your rifle, and it expands/has enough energy at the distance you're shooting, you're typically good to go...
