7 PRC guys will gloss right over this bullet. Shame. mtmuleyThat's the winner if all around is truly what you want, nothing does it all better in fast 7's
Shouldn't they ?7 PRC guys will gloss right over this bullet. Shame. mtmuley
Why? mtmuleyShouldn't they ?
If the goal is killing elk instead of ballistic mental masturbation, the 7mm 160 accubond is a killer… So are the .277 140s, .308 165s and 180s, and a bunch of others.Shouldn't they ?

So many work for that it's hardly worth counting. If the goal is killing elk instead of ballistic mental masturbation, the 7mm 160 accubond is a killer… So are the .277 140s, .308 165s and 180s, and a bunch of others.
I agree, and I’d happily shoot some core lokts. The Accubonds are a very good balance of wound channel, penetration, and being reasonable on meat loss though. So many work for that it's hardly worth counting.
168 Berger…best bullet made.
How was it “a little much for the antelope”?I used a 160 Barnes LRX out of a 22" barrel going 2997fps on all of my animals this last year. Everything from pronghorn to bull elk, it was a little much for the antelope, but I would recommend it for everything else. All shots from 130 - 470.
Given a "reasonable caliber", if it shoots well out of your rifle, and it expands/has enough energy at the distance you're shooting, you're typically good to go...
I hit a shoulder blade and there was no more shoulder on the backside and the frontside shoulder was mostly jello .. little forward on the shot, ill be taking a smaller caliber our next year for them if I draw. How was it “a little much for the antelope”?
Long & heavy for caliber is gloss?7 PRC guys will gloss right over this bullet. Shame. mtmuley
