44.0gr. of Varget and any .30-cal projectile between 150-165gr. is the cheat code. I've killed a small boxcar full of deer with the 150gr. SST over Varget.

About 3 years ago. I also picked up a case of Norma Whitetail 150's for $9.99 a box. I figure I have enough ammo to hunt whitetails for the rest of my life.

168 ttsx at 2735fps using IMR 4064. I have shot 3 elk with it. They all died.

My C308 Sporter seems to love AAC Sabre Blade Black Tip 150 grain. Groups are tight, now I just need to see a deer to see effect.

My dad had a load in his 308. 165 grain Accubond with BLC2. Was accurate in his rifle and was near max load. I killed my first elk and many white tails with it. He killed many bucks and a couple elk.

He now uses a healthy loading of Varget with Berger 168 gr VLD Hunter. Very tight groups and he has a handful of elk with them.

Personally I preferred the Nosler bullet performance. He likes the super tight groups with his current load though.
