Retumbo with Federal Mag Primers for my 7mm Mag either 140 grain Nosler E-tip or 160 Partitions. I won't give a load weight because it's different for every rifle.
I'm trying MagPro with some heavier bullets but my groups don't hold together beyond a mild load.
I have used lots of 7828ssc behind a 160 accubond over the years for many different 7 mag builds, newest build likes 4831sc in a 24in barrel, at 3083 ave for 10 shots,,,, 160 accubond has harvested a heck of a lot of game for myself, friends,,,
With the 140s, I like IMR7828, or Re22 loading to about 3100 fps. For the 160, I like Re25 real well and in my 26-inch barrel, the Re33 is great and gets me 3000 fps. I like 139 Interlocks, 140 Accubonds and 160 partitions as my preferred bullets.
I shoot a lot of different bullets/weights out of my Rem Mag. (Although a Savage, not a Model 70).
For the 140gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip, and the Berger 140gr. VLD Hunting I use Reloder 19.
For the 150gr. Nosler ABLR, and the 160gr. Sierra SPBT, HPBT Gamekings I use Reloder 26.
Have been wanting to play with some of the Reloder 23, but haven't had the chance yet.
Thanks. It's the gun though. My dad gave it to me when I was young because he hated the BOSS. I had it cut off and now it shoots better than most custom rifles. Jokes on him.
nosler accubond long range. Hornady eldx. berger. IMR 4350. Just work it up to the sweet spot. I have been playing with overall length to ogive a lot to refine these. High BC bullets have a small bearing surface and often shoot best near max loads/velocities.
