I've been hitting the local, and some not so local, shops lately looking for a Savage in 7mm-08.

Well, i came across something decidedly NOT a Savage in 7mm-08, that was too good a deal to me to pass up.

Browning A Bolt synthetic in 25 WSSM.
$459...

My first Browning.

Cases, dies are ordered already.
Thinking of using the 120gr Partition in it.

A-bolt or the new AB3? Big difference.
Has to be A-Bolt as Browning is no longer chambering rifles in .25 WSSM unless I’m bad wrong, which has happened before :) OP, a local shop here had a lot of .25 WSSM Ammo a couple months ago. Congrats on the rifle.

Congrats again. I’m partial to Browning and you definitely got a good deal.

I have one. It feeds smooth as silk. After the initial problems, Browning figured out how to make it work. My rifle is very accurate and deadly. Quickly becoming my new favorite caliber.

Well, i found the scope for it.
Been looking at that scope online for awhile now. One question if you’d be so kind to address, does the reticle actually have the numbers for the different larger hash marks as it shows on the box?

Reading your question, had me questioning it.
So i went and checked.
Yes, the numbers are actually on the reticle at each 5 MOA mark.
Both vertical and horizontal.

Without me glasses on, i really had to look for them.

I have that same scope on my 8mm RM.
A little bulky but seem like a very good scope.
It holds its zero with BIG recoil and the "Clicks" are precise.

I don't find the scope "bulky".
I like them for being a decent scope, at a decent price point with good glass.
The paralax adjustment was stiff to the point of worrying about breaking something to turn it the first time.
Once it moved, it loosened up some. Firm, but moves smoothly now.

I unscrewed the caps and spun the turrets. They move freely, but the "clicks" are kind of mushy. Not crisp or audible.

But i got the MOA reticle to use the reticle, not spin the turrets.

And the scope is light enough for a hunting rifle.
I could have gone with a Sightron, but i like the glass on the Burris better.
And while not bashing Leupold, the Burris is more price consious.

Thank you for that clarification! That is super helpful!
