Same bullet.BC....
The bottom is the 133 in the RPM.
The top 2 are the 117, same bc, and the -06 shows a faster start (albeit 50fps) than the RPM.

Same bullet.BC....
It’s the same bullet for both in it. I’m guessing they have the two cartridges flip flopped in the numbersBC....
They should've necked the 7PRC down to 257 but I get why they wanted to use a proprietary cartridge as their base rather than a Hornady one.
I’ve had both the 25-6.5 and the 25-7 built. The 25-7 is almost exactly what you said: a modernized 257Wby. The 25-6.5 is a modernized 25-06, maybe 25-06AI. Case capacity is so close that I used 25-06 load data as starting points for my own.The 7 PRC is real close to 257 wby case size. They don’t want to say “it’s like our classic but in a better case designed by hornady and with a fast twist.”
I like it. Doubt I’ll ever build one but I don’t like wildly overbore and this should be enough to be impressive without gettin too crazy.
I think it’s probably that and so guys like me don’t ream out their 25-06 chamber with one and expect it to shoot (which I’ll be doing when my throat is gone since a 25-6.5 rpm reamer will chase out any firecracking).Agreed they should have left the case full length. Their vanguard action magazine is like 3.6” so not like they would have ran out of room. Only thing maybe so a 6.5 rpm didn’t get stuffed in one?
Fast twist rate barrel with the 257 bee and you have a monster with that 133 Berger if you’re into that kinda thingI'm'ma stick with the light-fast Quarter-Roy...
My opinion is it won’t get much traction being that only wby will produce it in factory rifles along with 100 dollars a box factory ammo. A cool concept now that quarter bores are all the rage as of recent. My guess is that hornadys next release following the 25 creedmoor will be the 25 prc (that we’ve all been wildcatting for years now) that will supersede the 25 rpm in factory rifle chambering’s, factory ammo and overall components. Much like the 6.5prc does in comparison to the 6.5rpm
