The last few years there have been a few hundred people. Quite a few elected officials and a lot of their staffers come out for the free food. It's a great opportunity to shake hands and let them know that hunters are regular folks and some of us are willing to show up. It's generally an upbeat atmosphere - fresh grilled wild meat is a crowd-pleaser.

I’m pretty sure Dan gates was the president of the Colorado trappers association for years when I was a member. Good guy for sure.
