Perty sure I'll at least draw elk... 3rd choice is 60% draw odds

I'm maybe 10% at best for a non-resident archery elk tag, and that's for a 3rd choice tag that is in a really tough area. It's pretty depressing how bad odds have gotten for even the lower tier units.

The first year I applied the NR draw odds for VV were 15% and I drew as 1st choice. Much has changed since then. These days I just want the draw to post so I can get my money back. Expecting 5 reds as usual.

I always get extra giddy when this happens.
I miss the days we use to watch a bunch of red neck hunters become next level analysts and code crackers to find back door methods.
NM really tightened that up.

Postponing lots of decisions until NM results are posted. Utah & Nevada applications, and possibly changing WY elk unit.

Pretty sure it was another record, 294K was 288K last year

They changed it from Tuesdays to Thursdays, which should help with some people's anxiety

Oryx is amazing table fare. I was drawn 2 years ago for on-range. I hope to draw off range or broken horn to get more of it.
