2025 gear game changer- wows!

i decided if i'm sleeping in a cot, in the back of my truck or anything that doesn't involve backpacking in, there's no need or point in using an airpad, or a thin foam pad. i bought a cheap amazon mattress topper and cut it into 2 cot size pieces and I now have two 3" memory foam pads and memory foam pillows. it's way better than any other pad i've used.

I think the only thing I had that was different this year was a triad cheek rest for my rifle. Relatively inexpensive, and good for those who are squeamish about drilling holes in your stock. Plus the shell loops are on the INSIDE.

Same. Slept on it for almost a month straight a few years back.

Just curious how you found out you needed one.
Wife said I snore like a freight train had to go to a doctor get a prescription to take a sleep test. Then took the sleep test and they told me I had the apnea. Then you wait 3 months to see the sleep specialist and take their sleep test so they cal tell you that you have the apnea.

Do you feel like you have a lot more energy after getting one?

Doctor told me I was lucky if I actually slept for 2 hours a night if I laid down for 7. I go to bed around 9 and most mornings im just awake around 330 now ready to go. I pretty much quit drinking caffeine. Also if you have the apnea it is hell on your heart and will put you in the ground a lot sooner. I’ve debated on actually starting a thread about all the health stuff I’ve dealt with in the last 9 months but I have a lot of hate towards our medical system and didn’t want to see it spiral into another political mess. If I was to start this process over again I’d watch some videos on YouTube and buy it all off of Amazon.

Thanks for the info. As someone who’s at a good weight and in pretty decent shape, this is something I’ve been really curious about as I seem to be tired an aweful lot, especially over the last 5 years with extra sleep and cleaner eating not making much difference.
