I had a problem with squirrels in my garage. One time I found some maple helicopter seeds in my attic. No clue how they got in there. I declared war then and there! Small game animal, have a season. What are these? They are about the size of a quarter. They got mis-labeled at the greenhouse. I ate a 3rd one and wish I hadn’t…WAY too spicy.

I’m curious about your potato freezing. Something you’ve done for awhile? Is blanching required?View attachment 378489

made zucchini loaves #7, 8, 9 last night. picked 2 more so enough for 3 more loaves and that will be it. 1 loaf a month is plenty. Blanched some potatoes I pulled from the garden, frozen and then put into vacuum bags. I have 2 more grow bags to process and the potatoes will be finished. Picked a gallon of green beans tonight along with about a dozen banana peppers that I'll pressure can shortly.

Row covers help prevent weeds. I spent many hours last weekend weeding too. I had five boxes out of control. Now that it’s weeded, I need to spend some time each week maintaining. How do you guys have so few weeds in your garden?!
Yes and yes. Boil for 5 minutes. Spread onto cookie sheets and freeze. After froze i put into food saver bags and back into freezer.I’m curious about your potato freezing. Something you’ve done for awhile? Is blanching required?
I'm just the wiggly wood carpenter. 'Will consult with the gorgeous, green-thumbed gardener.@Straight Arrow that is a beautiful gate/pergola, begging for some clematis, perhaps?
Man I even do plastic weed barrier with a cut out for the rows of garlic etc. The weeds take over around the plantsRow covers help prevent weeds. I spent many hours last weekend weeding too. I had five boxes out of control. Now that it’s weeded, I need to spend some time each week maintaining.
I weedeat my paths. My next thought is laying down weed barrier and placing rocks. My lawn between the boxes idea has turned into a weed patch.
