Well doneBefore and after pictures. My girlfriends first bear. She set the bar high!!!
Got off work tonight at 5 and hustled up there for an evening sit. By time we got there and quaded in it was 630 and was walking into the bait when we spotted this guy and his sow on the bait. Snuck in a bit closer found a window and she hammered him. Made it 10-15 yards before piling up

Man that looks like primo country to find a bear in. Beautiful nonetheless.Spent 7 days of fantastic backpacking in the Frank Church, unfortunately saw 0 bears. The habitat looked great, SE slopes were covered in balsamroot and other flowers and grasses, but I found barely any sign, despite covering lots of miles from the top of the peaks to the creek bottoms. It was extremely hot the whole trip, and my best guess is they weren't moving much, or that there was so much green up everywhere that they never needed to come out of the timber. I also submit that I have no clue what I'm talking about and I could have just chosen a very low density area. Long days glassing until 10 pm and picking off 30+ ticks per day. Despite all that, it was an awesome start to the summer, and thinking about heading further north to the panhandle next year.

Dont give up on Frank he can be a grumpy bastard that doesnt give out prizes easily. That place takes amazing amounts of work just to survive for a week let alone shot animals. Most americans have know idea how tuff it can be in there, to walk out a week later and not quit is trophy most will never have! When the ol mills come out the bears come out..... awesome trip amigo, very fun to get out and look for the bear. I conditions weren't ideal but we made the best of it and I had a great time. Bummer on the miss but, one day it'll come together. I'm glad my wife approves of me going hunting with guys I meet online. Till next time!Pro tip: Make sure @EYJONAS! hasn’t been drinking beer before you trust him to set up a wall tent. The wind took that tent for a ride. Had some fun adventures, saw a couple really nice bears, another guy we were hunting with missed a great bear, and I had an up close and personal meeting with a big boar griz that almost ended in him getting shot. Wish I was wearing a GoPro for that experience. Fun times!
