I glanced at this pronghorn this morning on my way back from hunting sheep, where I got fogged out of any glassing opportunity.

My first thought on a glance at about 100 yards was no, good thing I took a second look when this buck turned. A quick glance at several hundred yards would have been useless, in particular from a front view. I left him right away this morning and went in search of a different buck that Greenhorn and I chased around a week or so ago.

Went back to get some pictures:

After more than a glance, and some careful observation through the spotter...I figured with the last 21 days of October devoted to solid sheep hunting, it would be foolish to pass this buck.

Haven't taped it other than its just shy of 16" and bases are 6 3/8.

A beauty of a pronghorn like that and 21 days of sheep ahead of you .......... you must be living better than me. Congrats, that guy looks like he's worth more than a glance anywhere!

Nice buck! I don’t think I would have driven past him the first time.

Pretty crazy that a buck that would be a buck of a lifetime for most of us is just a ho hum for Buzz to the extent that he doesn't even bother taping him all the way out.

Based on those first 2 measurements it sounds like he is going to be pretty close to 81" gross, I guess with dry time and net he might not make minimum but it looks like it will be pretty close.

Nice! Not an average WY buck for sure.

Your face doesn't look you've been suffering on top of a sheep mountain for 21 days. Looking forward to that story

Great looking buck, congrats. I’d love to have just one buck that if that quality

Man that buck has some hooks. Once work and good luck on the sheep hunt.

Great buck. I agree with the other comments, I’m not sure I would have passed him at first. Congrats!

looks great, will 2 of the mass measurements be taken above the prongs?

In this special case all 4 measurements will be taken above the prong. Not to mention the length will be divided by the sum of the square root of the prong length and first 2 circumference measurements. I realize the B&C measuring criteria is very confusing and this is just one of those cases.
