Photo of my SW Wyoming buck. Saw him the evening before and let him be in a canyon. We went in the next day in the dark and set up across the bottom of the canyon glassing the far hillside when the sun came up. An hour in we saw some smaller bucks and a good heard of elk. I decided to climb the canyon wall further up the canyon and push the cedar trees toward my partner in hopes of flushing him out. Halfway up the climb, I stopped to shed some clothing and spotted him near the top of the canyon some 400 yards away. I gave him a little grunt from my tube and he stopped in his tracks. Ranged him at 354yds and 353 yds and made a shot. He came to rest less than 40 yds from where I hit him with a 130gr Barnes XLC at 3018fps MV from a Remington 700 Classic in .300 Savage.
