I think they have a policy of 10 days of something from the time they contact the next group for acceptance or rejection. Then they send out another batch. (Call them like someone suggested). A couple years ago by the time they got to late October it was a free for all....they notified...
Did someone calculate how many actual tags 3% represents? I realize it’s a guess. They said 2,482 in the press announcement. Is this the number of extra tags given out?
Is it possible this is all planned as a revenue increase for the department? Residents basically hunt for free....a straight cost to the State. But if they handed out 5,000 more tags to Non-residents, that's $5M un-budgeted, incremental uplift. the Director would be a hero to the...
Don’t forget in 2020 they had to do a redraw on placement in the alternate list! I went from 1300 to 381 and got my tag. Actually I think everyone got a tag on Alternate that year. But it was messed up.
My family and I drew exceptionally well this year...
Big Game Combos to me, brother and nephew
Elk B and Antelope B for the wife
Buck Antelope and Antelope B for me
As NRs, we are all extremely grateful for the opportunity to enjoy big sky country. My brother and nephew hunt in September, the...
Me and the wife drew three tags! Two does and a buck! She’s never hunted antelope before so we’re pretty excited! Been a great draw year…big game combo, elk B, and three antelope. Only missed on 1 buck antelope tags.
Old Buzz...go take a nap. The principle is what's important. If you haven't done the math to get the FACTS, why are you busting on my narrative. Don't forget to set an alarm....
The trick to solve the problem is the Residents need to pick up the non-resident tab. So they get to hunt 100%. But their tag prices need to rise to $400 - $600 to offset the NR they don't want in their state.
Made it - 11 years in a row with one alternate success in there....Thank you Montana. Very grateful for the chance to hunt your state. Now on to the antelope and B tags!
