Tips for getting in shape for backcountry
I have the best luck with a mix of cardio, strength training my core, and hiking with 60-70 pounds in the pack I take. Make it a lifestyle and do a little bit all year round vs trying to cram it all in before season. Enjoy! -

What caliber?

Rifle and caliber question

We stopped in pueblo on the way back from our hunt this year. Area looks like its exploding! We at at a new Buffalo Wild wings that was in the middle of a brand new shopping area. Definitely an area to look into.- Eyeguy

ATV's going up horse/human trail
Go back to the site and take photos and turn his A$$ in. He is ruining that area for many people not to mention it is illegal. I purposely hunt an area that doesn't allow ATV usage so that I don't have to deal with them chasing elk all over the mountain. You are putting in hard work hunting... -

This is a great reply. Thanks for your insight. We did fear we would spook elk due to the wind so we didn't push any situation too hard. But being ultra conservative doesn't punch too many archery tags either. I think its like you said above....we were in a no (or dang near little) win... -
