I know that the Tonto National Forrest is closed right now, so you should probably call AZGF for some info for when it is supposed to reopen. I literally just called Arizona game and fish last week with the same question. And from what I understand that as long as your license is valid on the day of the draw your tag and or bonus point should be valid. -

Calling Elk?
If you know he's hanging up, and he hasn't thrown out a nervous grunt hit him with it first. That call will give him a tiny bit more confidence that you're another elk and come in a little further to investigate. -

Jan Coues hunt in Arizona
The cool thing about the AZ deer tag is that it is good for either a mule deer or coues. So if your going after coues and see a nice muley you can take him. -

Best state to take up residency
