...to need to attract a different crowd then the ones who have lots of money and the license fee isnt an issue. Most hunters I know wont spend the $551 for an IA tag either. Not a fair comparison. Cost is a huge factor and I understand that it would appear to put a strain on the budgets but... -

Colorado Big Game Changes
...2 things that stuck out to me were: 1."Archery elk licenses are totally limited in units 54, 55 and 551"...I don't know exactly what that means...but I think it means there will be a cap on OTC archery tags for these units. I generally pass a few each season trying to get something better. Sometimes it pays off....sometimes it doesn't. Here's one I passed opening morning in Arizona at 40 yards a few seasons back.......never had another opportunity for a decent buck. Just part of the game. -

Don't know many ranchers that allow trespass fees.......but there are some TOAD whiteys there. This one was on a family friends property (near Sundance) two years ago.......man, I need to go bowhunt these things. -
