Day 3 home with sick kids and I feel like we need yet another music thread to argue about. It’s simple, your favorite cover song of all time!
 
i feel like we've done this before. but that doesn't matter, it's christmas!

dare i say the ataris did it better? it sure feels like they put the oomph into that song that it always needed.

don's is OG, duh, and exactly what it's supposed to be. i won't blaspheme, necessarily.

This is a great one, was blasting it on the way to the gym this morning.

I'd add Goldfinger's version of 99 Red Balloons and The Gourds' Gin and Juice.

Music was written by Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers who pitched to Henley after Tom turned it down (much to Petty's chagrin later)

I can imagine ol Tom would've conjured up a banger that would've rendered The Ataris version to be, well, less than, if not non existent.
