Wyoming Deer

no doubt that this is a great deer and that anyone would be happy with it. thats not what i am questioning here i was just wondering what everyone thought it would score. i have had the husband of this lady tell me that it scores well over 200" once again it is not all about the size of the animal but i am just currious to see what everyone thought about the score.........

Not my friend anymore and yes i am with you greenhorn he is smoking crack(the magic tape has the first 8" cut off of it so the scores are always bigger. so when are you going to throw out a number you are the one i have been waiting to see a score from

Main beam - 22
g2 - 16
g3 - 9
g4 - 11
bowtine - 1.5
Mass - 18 (5,5,4,4)
=77.5 x 2 = 155
inside spread +18 = 173
trash +11 = 184

(I might have my "g's" mixed up):D

Just a guess.

Okay here is what they said it scored they said they had 3 people score it on different occasions. the first text i got said 207 3/8" the second score was in an email and the size went down to 204 3/8" the last score i saw was 203 3/8". i just wanted to see if i was close when i said that it might score somewhere around 185 to 190 (was funny cause they got all pissed off when i told them what i thought) but i guess what do you expect they shot a 345 bull that scored somewhere around 380" the magic tape strikes again.....

No way that buck is as good as Little Oscar's buck. If her buck is 204ish then Oscar's buck is 230ish.

It sounds like they include the inside spread and outside spread on all their scores. I know people that do that a lot.

My favorite one is when a guy scores a 30" wide buck with a 22" main beam and forgets the spread credit deduction.

If you use the score sheet on the Boone and Crocket website it won't allow you to do that. It adjusts it for you automagically...it cannot however pull a tape for you

I used to always start my tine measurements from the middle of the main beam, rather than the base of the tine. Not sure why I did it that way but I did for a long time. Added 5-8 inches to almost all my deer

Don't give me that look.......... I know how to score!

Naw...I wasn't referring to you. I believe your buck scored every bit what you said it did. In fact I thought your buck was more impressive even without sitting 6 feet behind it. I was referring to the guy that does this....scores a 30" wide buck with a 22" main beam and forgets the spread credit deduction.

Man i dont feel so bad now i thought i was off my rocker after telling these guys that there is no way that deer breaks 200"

I took it wrong. Have a great day!

This buck is about 6" narrower than mine with 3 or 4 fewer scoreable points and mine grossed just over 191". To each his own. If they need to feel better by over scoring everything they shoot, it's their conscience. It's really laughable around here anymore.

184 3/8 gross.

The wife scores a 5--she must shoot pretty well (I'd be shaking like a dog shitting peach pits) but she's very plain.

I'm a much better judge of women than antler scores.
