Same here, but that had way more to do with the odds than cost for me personally.
I don’t think that raising point fees for DEA is going to make much of an impact besides making more money for the state (I don’t blame them for doing it, either).

What it will do is result in an endless supply of forum posts from pissed off NR's about how the game is rigged, the goal posts have been moved, someone should sue, hunting is becoming a rich mans game, etc. It will also provide fodder for influencers to create another round of YT videos about the upcoming changes to the Wyo tag draw system and how best to adapt to the changes so that you can continue to feed the system.

one option for ya could do would be to go "special" deer price to jump you up to the unit and hunt your hoping 4,,beins time is starting to be in the issue also now.

Been doing the special deer price for years, odds aren't getting any better, hence wanting to go somewhere else. Spending the extra money just to keep my points is getting old.

About in the same boat with 18 points, whatever 2 back from max is. Should have tried for a tag 6 years ago, but things got in the way. Will probably put in for a unit that takes a lot less points.
