Buddy has 3,I have 6 that I’m building for sons graduation.Question is can I hunt off my buddy’s points next year without using my points?

Sort of, you apply in the special for a unit you can’t draw then choose a unit you can draw as second choice you won’t use your points.
But that doesn't use his buddies points, it uses neither. The only way to "use a friend" in this case is a party app, then they average the points across the party, so your 6 his 3, gives your party 4.5. If you draw prefernce 1, you both lose the points.
