Wyoming Antelope Adventures

For fellow bullet nerds, I was very impressed with the 143 Hammer’s performance. First animal I’ve shot with them and it won’t be the last. 340 yard shot, dropped in his tracks, .284 entrance, 50 cent piece sized exit, almost no bloodshot or meat damage. Thanks for the bullet recommendation @JLS and @mtmuley.

Yep. They are the real deal. Congrats. mtmuley

It turns out the extra set of horns are very soft where they meet the skull and don’t appear to have a sheath, they’re similar to next year’s set of horns growing inside the sheaths. Anyone with more taxidermy experience than me have any ideas on how to preserve them?

My buck from 2 years ago had an extra knob. It came off after I slipped the horns and I glued it back on. If I remember right there wasView attachment 154930 a little bony projection. It's still on the euro.
Exactly what I was hoping to hear, thanks! The skull is wrapped in plastic right now to slip the horns, so I’ll see if it works. That is a great looking buck...
