Congratulations again, that one is going to be hard to top!

It was a good weekend...
 
I expect some other scenar victims will appear on here before long.
 
A few others fore the same hunt, more or less. We weren't exactly hunting with Snowy, but we were working together.

Well done on the hunt!
Superb terrain to be hunting bucks that have
just stripped velvet in! I don't think there is a more
appealing hunt for mule deer then chasing them
early up high.

Broken country during the rut is extremely hard to beat. You get to hunt all day long as they are moving all day long. Reminds me of antelope hunting. No real slow times.

Yes it is good fun hunting anything during the rut!
I used to spend a considerable amount of time hunting mule deer in a few different states for a number of years from velvet through to the rut and i always look back fondly at those high country early deer hunts in the mountains.
