His problem would be getting his nation back into the tournament for 2030 and beyond. This is Norways first appearance in the competition this century.

Mbappe seems poised to catch Messi by next year. But Lionel is for sure showing out this year.

USA wisely sitting 4 guys on yellows. They will still play for win. Question is Pulisic, will he play risking reinjury. With 5 subs available id sit him again unless needed.

I'm hoping that Algeria v Austria will be a fully competitive game Saturday. There is ample reason for the teams to do a "gentleman's agreement" and play for a tie, and thus putting both teams thru to the knock out stage of the tournament. If someone were to outright win, then their next opponent would be "mighty Spain" (can one really say that after a couple of sub par showings??)

Game time first touch is 9 pm. Temperatures still in lower to mid 80's after a high to high 90's. I presume that we will be at the stadium several hours before kickoff, with ponchos in our back pocket in case the rainy June we are having in the eastern half of Kansas wants to bless us with more precip.

@Bob-WY I hope that Pulisic rides the airline seats the whole game. Really let those muscles heal son, we are gonna need you in crunch time in the knockout phase.
