Came across this too. Is this Brown's ranch or a neighboring ranch? $550 an acre assuming they are only counting deeded acres. Probably counting leased acres as well knowing how some Western realtors opperate.

Smooth move by them to try and gate off roads to restrict use. That always ends well. You’d hope that if you were as wealthy as the Wilkes then you’d have a decent law team that would suggest to shy away from gating public roads.
