Where do they go in 81 (CO)

I aint buying the DOW's migration maps. Anybody know where the elk go in Northern 81 once the snow gets deep. We got a great spot for fair to medium weather, but they don't plow the roads in or out once the weather hits and some are saying this winter could be a dandy.
