Respectfully disagree on the border, because: ICE killing Americans, no bueno. Strong case to be made that red juggernaut Tejas bent blue this week; because the large hispanic demographic, that delivered for 47 in '24, voted blue in reaction to border policies.

ICE isn’t really the border. The border is more secure than it’s been in a long time.

The issue of course is that f the states would help, ICE would keep busy. Some states don't help, so ICE picks up the people that are easy to pickup. However, many of the workers have criminal records. I don't think that is surprising.

I hedge to inquire but what source can quantify " many of the workers have criminal records"? I wouldn't deny there is an element, but " many" is a tall claim.

This is a massive problem. The various combinations of illegals and foreigners with false and counterfeit licenses/documents etc. driving trucks is off the chart. The vast majority of truck wrecks on interstate highways in my home state involve drivers that fit the above descriptions in one fashion or another. So far everything the state has attempted only addresses symptoms or hamstrings legit operators while doing nothing to address the actual problem.

I see it every single day in my job. No idea how they got a cdl. Going down the road with the school bus everyday.
