"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups"I'm pretty sure Stevie Wonder even saw this 2026 GOP/MAGA extinction event coming back in 1974. It's crazy to me that so many didn't think it would happen.

It’s crazy to me that we are willing to go from one extreme to another on the complete opposite side of the spectrum.
To be seen if any uniparty control gets any checks and balances. They'll still siphon our money off to their cronies way faster than they take it.I think it happened because people weren't viewing it as a pendulum swing to the other extreme. It was a way to pull one extreme back to an average.
+10 and -10 cancel out to zero, which is about where we stand now.
I honestly don't think there are many in this country not breathing at least a bit of a sigh of relief at seeing a rather unprecedented level of aggressive uniparty control at the federal level getting a bit of check and balance.
It's what happens when an absolutely unhinged dipshit gets put in charge. There is really is no other way about it.
I think since about bush v gore each side has upped the pendulum swing further and further saying hold my beer.+10 and -10 cancel out to zero, which is about where we stand now.
I’m thinking mandatory conscription for ages 65 and older. It’d save a ton on Medicare and social security payouts. Go get em, fellas. Some boomers at the barber shop yesterday were carrying on about how ungrateful them goddamned socialist kids are that they’ll not have to die in a nuclear war from the mullahs thanks to Trump doing what every president was too big of a coward to do and that Iran was months away from a nuke… blaaa blaaa blaaa
It’s like we live in totally different worlds.
It’s why I tend to view politics as a circle vs. a line with levels of left or right. As you get to either extreme, you end up with the same level of crazy shit. They are more alike than different. It’s crazy to me that we are willing to go from one extreme to another on the complete opposite side of the spectrum.
What did they pass that Trump wanted for the past 1 1/2 years?Since the R's were spineless to stand up to Trump, at least the new Congress will slow him down.
The Big Bull$#!^ Bill. What did they pass that Trump wanted for the past 1 1/2 years?![]()
They have the power of the purse and don't have to fund anything. EOs have very little effect, and are mostly just statements on policy positions. They are not law. He's going to continue to go crazy with EOs, and House/Senate can't stop that.
That was signed July 4, 2025.The Big Bull$#!^ Bill.

Exactly. There are some theatrics going on about social issues to keep everyone engaged, but the things that affect everyone stay a steady course. Taxes never go down, Social Security is going bankrupt, new wars, funding other peoples wars, etc. I didn't vote this election for the first time since I was 18. Right or wrong I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of them and I'm not even sure it matters at this point. The trajectory has been the same for a long time.To be seen if any uniparty control gets any checks and balances. They'll still siphon our money off to their cronies way faster than they take it.
