WHEN WILL IT END???????? I'll be so glad for 11/04

I do not agree that this is a local-only thing. It is most definitely, at the state level, a big deal. And frankly, it is going to become a big deal at the national level too.
I was defining state as local. Maybe a misuse of the word. Sure, there will be talk and debate. But I'm a little skeptical on anything happening other than what Biden had in place previously. All new data centers will have to build out enough energy infrastructure to compensate for their use and the companies will have to invest in local infrastructure to reduce impact. Not sure it is realistic to hope for much more. I'm certainly willing to listen to new ideas though.

They are certainly going to need more.
Lots more.

In addition, they are also going to have to address how people are going to make a living when they're unemployed. By all this AI. After all, the whole point of AI is to unemploy people and save costs, and thus increase the rake for the oligarchs, or whatever you want to call them. These are national things, not local, not state, not anything but national. And maybe even global.

Agree. I only care about the near term. Today any change in trend is local. That will probably change in a few months when the conversations in DC start.

That's very unfortunate. Myoptic, self-centered voting is a real problem for both parties. The Dems may have finally looked up, for once.
