What would you do if....

You drew a great elk tag and knew of a great 390" bull... but spotted a deer worth killing (Like a 200"er) in a different state and you had a tag in that area as well. Both seasons opened at the same day. Both very short seasons. Problem is, usually after opening weekend both species disapear due to pressure. Both draw tags. Which would you give up to go after the other ?

Which would you go chase first ? (And no, I'm not in this delema unfortunately).

Sounds like a tough call, doubt I'd be able to sleep. I think I'd enlist the support of a hunting-crazy cameraman that likes to shoot big elk while naked, buy a case of beer, load up a ton of ammo, hire a babysitter, #*^@#* work and go hunting..

I'd camp on whichever you want more; shoot it and haul it out in record time at first light, throw it in a truck bed full of ice and drive like hell for the next animal hoping you still have a shot. Just don't get pulled over with a dead animal, a naked guy with a camera and a half empty case of beer in the truck. Unless you're in Idaho at the time in which case you'd be sent to the Senator's house in Eagle for your punishment. And what a sweet punishment it'd be.

A big moose would take priority for me over a big deer. I've shot deer and elk before - but not a moose - yet.

Haven't busted a b'winkle yet (on my to-do list) but would still opt for the 200" buck....unless we're talking like a 70+ inch moosie on dry ground next to an argo around the corner from camp...but I'm not picky!

I would talk Greenhorn into locating me the best spots for both and get Moosie to drive me between the hunts. One day is all that is necessary

BUT, I'd have a buddy parked on the 390 bull, waiting for my arrival.
Moose are a bit easier to relocate, unless someone else wacks it...

deer hang in the same area's usually regardless of presure, even mule deer. I'd go get the bull, he will leave the area if someone pressures him, or he'll die.
