PPD is real...but so what?...a death in the family is real and is depressing [so go kill]...what this insane bitch did was disgusting...i heard the 911 tape this morning..sickening....can you image the pain/trauma this baby went thru...fry this phsyco..I.M.O....

It was there back in the 40s thru the 70s, it's just that we TOOK care of each OTHER. There were other names that were used instead of PPD. You are correct about parents getting their Kids on medication for ADD, because some teacher said their child didn't pay attention in class, but the parents are asking for the medication so that they can handle a child that they didn't raise right in the first place. We didn't have time outs in the 60s, we got a butt paddling. Now, as Ridgerunner said 11 months is a very long time to be labeling what happened on PPD, and this is where I probably will get whacked, but is'nt the First thing when someone is caught doing this they claim God told them to do it! Somewhere deep in that woman's mind something went wrong and no one can be to blame but this woman. John

That's not funny Doug. Depressed people are at a big risk and guns should be moved away from them or locked up, etc. Lots of people don't realize it, how it makes people do something crazy. People around those at risk for something like what this woman did, need to be more aware, that will help prevent these things from occuring.

I heard she was under treatment, so they let her continue parenting. I wonder how the person giving her treatments, or who decided to let her parent, thinks about this now? I bet they do things differently, if they have the budget for it.
