What Sport did you play growing up?

I had more fun playing men’s league softball and basketball. I worked at a sawmill and we had our own ball field. The story of that ballpark is that Lou Gehrig hit a home run so far that no one found the ball, back in the barnstorming days.

Basketball was my sport. Hitting 3’s like snoop hitting a joint!

Played a bit of everything when younger, but by the time I hit HS I concentrated on Football and Track. Linebacker and gunner on special teams and sprinter to 1/4 miler in track. Fished over hard water most of the winter. It wasn't so time consuming in those days we would bring our shotguns to school and get in some hunts after it on the days we didn't have practice and when the season was over.

A few of us hunted doves and quail pretty regularly after school. Then one day we had a bomb threat and while we were all gathered on the football field messing around during the evacuation someone said “I hope they don’t search our vehicles.” That caused a mild panic
