I did not see a thread like this so posted it up. Fill your boots.
I saw a fox just after settling in on the back of my wagon, but by the time I moved the rifle over to the tripod the fox was hitting top gear and on the 250 mtr mark to disappear into the fern, a few seconds later another one appeared in the same spot, I rushed my shot(also the boat rocks if you move around)
And missed, the red beast ducked back into the rubbish. 5 mins later he ducks over the clear and under my deer fence, next I see him in the neighbours heading to the left, slowly he veered back down towards me, still in the neighbours. He jinx to his left and enters my property but still outside the deer fence, at eighty paces spots me and stops, I can just see a wee clear area thru the deer fence, I'm shooting on an angle so easy to hit the wires. But no I got lucky. Lovely male, must of been tracking the other one which would have been a girl.
