I've seen deer tracks in the area in the past, but the only live critter was a black bear on a side hill near the Artist Point parking lot.

I would say elk. I don't think I have ever seen deer poop that looks like it has been squeezed together, elk poop quite often.

When competing in the cow chip throwing contests in Brush, CO I always tried to pick a thin flat one like this; I'll say angus.

The first is deer. I can't judge scale 100% but ive seen it just like that here if they're constipated. Must need some of the chili mac that JLS ate.

The second pic does look a bunch like dog barf. But I'm thinking bear hitting a fresh food source or bait.
